FAQ – BALLISTIC HELMET & ARMOR
Can a ballistic helmet really stop a bullet?
Our ballistic helmets are engineered and extensively tested to maximise head protection. They are certified beyond the NIJ 0106.01 standard and withstand handgun threats such as .44 Magnum, .357 SIG and 9 mm FMJ while keeping backface deformation exceptionally low. They also provide fragmentation protection up to approx. 660 m/s (tested to STANAG 2920).
How do I find the right helmet size?
Measure your head circumference with a flexible tape. Place it just above the ears and about 2–3 cm above the eyebrows. The universal M/L size (55–67 cm) combined with adjustable padding and retention system allows precise fine-tuning.
What does NIJ Level III mean compared to Level IIIA?
NIJ Level IIIA is designed for handgun protection, while NIJ Level III is designed for rifle threats. Level III plates are tested to stop 7.62×51 mm NATO FMJ; many constructions also cover common intermediate calibres such as 5.56×45 mm NATO and 7.62×39 mm (depending on the exact plate and certification).
How does shipping work within the EU?
We ship from our EU warehouse, with VAT included and no customs issues within the EU. Orders are typically processed and handed over to the carrier within 24 hours; shipping within the EU is free of charge.
