10-Year Warranty Protection
UNITAC™ Protection designs ballistic helmets, plates and textile gear with a clear focus on long-term reliability. Our warranty system combines a 5-year ballistic warranty with an optional +5-year Extended Replacement Program – giving you up to 10 years of protection on ballistic products when the program is applied.
How the 10-Year Coverage Works
Standard ballistic products (helmets & armor plates) are covered by a 5-year warranty against material and manufacturing defects from the date of purchase.
When combined with the UNITAC Extended Replacement Program, you receive up to 10 years of total protection for qualifying damage to ballistic products.
- Years 0–5: Standard ballistic warranty for material and manufacturing defects.
- Years 5–10: Extended Replacement – instant replacement for qualifying damage under the program conditions.
- Textile accessories (helmet covers, soft gear) are covered by a 2-year warranty from the date of purchase.

What Is Covered
Our warranty is designed to protect you against real defects and failures – not cosmetic marks. Under the standard warranty for ballistic products, we cover:
- Material defects in ballistic shells and inserts
- Manufacturing and workmanship defects
- Critical defects on mounting systems, rails, NVG shrouds and structural components not caused by misuse
- Seam and workmanship issues on textile accessories within the 2-year textile warranty period
If your product has been discontinued and a replacement is needed, we will provide an equivalent or upgraded model where possible.
What Is Not Covered
To keep the protection fair and transparent, the warranty and Extended Replacement Program do not cover:
- Normal wear and tear (scratches, fading, minor abrasions, UV or moisture exposure)
- Damage from incorrect or abusive use, improper storage, or lack of basic care
- Unauthorized modifications, drilling, sanding, repainting or non-approved repairs
- Products serviced or modified by non-authorized technicians or sellers
- Purely cosmetic damage that does not affect ballistic or functional performance
- Loss or theft of the product
If damage is caused by misuse or conditions outside the warranty, repairs or replacement can still be performed, but at the customer’s expense.
Extended Replacement Program (+5 Years)
The UNITAC Extended Replacement Program adds up to 5 additional years of coverage on top of the standard ballistic warranty for qualifying damage. When approved, we provide a direct replacement unit.
- Scope: instant replacement of qualifying damaged ballistic products beyond the standard warranty period.
- Exclusions: intentional damage, unauthorized modifications, purely cosmetic issues.
- Process: submit photos and serial/order number – after approval, a replacement is shipped and the damaged unit is returned.
Program availability can vary by model and region. Detailed terms are communicated at the time of purchase and in our official warranty section.
Service & Maintenance Support
Long warranty only makes sense if there is long-term support behind it. Our dedicated Service & Maintenance program helps you keep your ballistic gear operational through inspections and repairs:
- Visual and structural inspection (shell, rails, NVG shroud)
- Hardware check (screws, pads, retention system)
- Fit and seam inspection on covers and textile components
- Minor repairs and parts replacement where safe and possible
- Recommendation: preventive check every 2–3 years or after heavy use, impact or visible damage

Ballistic interventions to the helmet shell itself are not performed. Any safety-relevant damage to the shell or core materials leads to a full replacement recommendation.
How to Make a Warranty Claim
- Send an email to contact@unitacprotection.com with:
- Order number / invoice
- Serial number
- Description of the issue
- Clear photos of the product and the damage
- Request and obtain an RMA ID before shipping the product.
- Send the product for inspection. If the claim is approved, repair or replacement is carried out free of charge according to the warranty or program conditions.
For first owners, shipping costs within the EU may be covered according to current warranty conditions. Secondary owners remain entitled to warranty where applicable, with shipping costs typically covered by the new owner.
Legal Notice
Warranty periods start from the date of purchase and are valid only with proof of purchase (invoice or order confirmation). This manufacturer’s warranty does not limit your statutory consumer rights under applicable EU law (e.g. legal guarantee for defects).
